This classic Cape Cod cottage, built in the 1890s, is just steps away from Cape Cod bay - with quiet serenity and a distant view of the bay. In addition to private beach access, the cottage features a wrap around porch with hammock, a screened in area for dining and relaxation, eat-in kitchen, enclosed outdoor shower, gas grill, and a spacious very private lawn for yard games. In addition, a great fire pit area is currently being built, and will provide an amazing spot to relax outside! You can walk over to Rock Harbor, or drive a few minutes to Orleans center for plenty of dining and entertainment options. There are three bedrooms and one full bathroom (with only a tub indoors - but with a huge outdoor shower), sleeping a total of six guests. The first bedroom includes a queen size bed, while the other two each have matching twin beds. Other amenities included are split A/C system for hot summer days, WiFi, cable, and a Smart TV for streaming. Linens and towels are always provided for your convenience. WONDERFUL house, WONDERFUL location, overall very good experience with Del Mar. Excellent kitchen, lovely sitting areas indoors and out, HOT water in outdoor shower. Mini splits kept the place toasty in October. We'd go back in a heartbeat. Some things aren't clear in the listing & it's only fair you know: (1) the indoor fireplace is featured prominently in photos and listed as an "amenity" by airbnb, but it's 100% off limits. (2) The property is not quite on Cape Cod Bay. It's adjacent to a gorgeous little creek that flows into the bay, which you reach by walking another quarter mile over sand. (3) Dogs cost an extra $35 per day per dog. I prefer dealing with owners rather than property managers, but Del Mar was communicative & helpful. Hope it's always that way, because they manage SO MANY properties on the Cape now. Bottom line is that the house was even nicer than we hoped. Zero regrets.

We loved staying at this cabin by the bay. The location cannot be beaten - we loved walking to the beach and quick rides to dinner & ice cream in Orleans. The yard was extremely private, especially for our dogs. Definitely recommend coming prepared for bugs (ticks, etc.). The cabin was rustic and a true piece of Cape Cod history. Note - there is no washer/dryer at the house. We loved this place and hope to return again!!!
