amazing stay - would book again

Our family spent a memorable week in this cottage. The house is spacious and well furnished, uncluttered, peaceful, and quiet, set within lush green surroundings. It has a great patio in the back with working grill as well as an outdoors shower on the deck. The kitchen is well equipped. There are four comfortable bedrooms. The place is minutes away from several beaches (on kettle ponds, the Cape Bay, and the National Seashore). Bicycling & kayaking is an option. Hosts are super responsive, helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!

Overall, we had a really great vacation, but there are a couple of things to note. The AC situation was very annoying. The upstairs thermostats are locked so that you cannot control them. It was hovering around 75 degrees on the unit, and was very warm up there on hotter days. One of the bedrooms is larger, and so that one particularly was very warm. It was too hot for our son to sleep in during the warmer part of the week we stayed. The AC also seemed to struggle downstairs... according to the house manual, you cannot lower it below 69 (fine!), BUT in actuality, no matter what we did, it would not go below 73-75, also making it warm to sleep. The beds were very comfortable, but the sheets were not. The sheets on the king bed in the master were hot, stiff, and the fitted sheet was too large and kept coming off. There is limited cabinet space for your food because they have utilized all the kitchen space with "stuff." The deck & furniture are older, and chairs were covered in bird poop.

We had to cut our stay short because of a family matter, but the time at the home was enjoyable and as expected. There was an issue with the toilet on arrival but they had it fixed within an hour. Very responsive and helpful.
