The location is incredible, with wonderful bay views and great privacy. The house is spacious, comfortable, and well equipped. The décor, however, felt a bit bare and minimalistic. For the price, a refresh would make the space much warmer and more inviting.

The house had a great view. There is a path to the beach. It’s more of a boating beach. There are a lot of wildlife in the water so it’s hard to walk out to go swimming. You pretty much have to be on the boat to be able to swim but overall it was a beautiful place to be.

Second time we’ve stayed here with family Love the idea of the private beach and the first time we stayed, while rainy, we still were able to enjoy the long walks along the water. This time however the mosquitoes were relentless! The path to the water, even when we bathed in the toughest of bug spray, just wasn’t worth using the beach knowing the days ahead of extreme itching. Nature can be tough for sure. I probably would not book here in July. Also the path from the kitchen side into the backyard is slippery and needs repair for proper footing and safety. The house most certainly could use some updates. The tiles on the threshold from the laundry into the kitchen are loose and were exactly the same 2 years prior. The dryer does not turn off ever unless you turn it off and even still it ticks like it’s still in use. This also was an issue 2 years prior and brought to Del Mar’s attention. Great things to mention. The space!Wonderful for family & the water pressure is incredible

This was a beautiful oasis right on the bay for my family! You are in a perfect location on the cape (Orleans is somewhat central to a lot of different towns to visit if you plan on traveling around the cape). The big stand out is the private beach that you are walk down to and have all to yourself! It was so relaxing to wake up to the sunrise and enjoy the water without any of the crowds. You are tucked away surrounded by nature. I would highly recommend staying here if you want some peaceful time away from too many crowds. The only reason I am giving a 4 star review is because of the bugs everywhere, and I mean everywhere lol There are signs for ticks down by the wooded trail so you have to be careful. Additionally, the mosquitos are pretty nasty so we had to use bug spray every time we went down to the beach. The house is quite old and the nature of the location does mean bugs so I was covered in bug bites if I did not spray myself. The location and cost made up for in my mind
