Fantastic location, in the dunes and literally steps to one of the most beautiful beaches on the Cape. Cleaning crew did an outstanding job with what they had to work with, upstairs bedrooms could use some serious updating but the location makes up for a lot of sins.

The house is a true Cape classic with just the right amount of updates. Pretty wood floors and paneling and enough windows to let the Wellfleet breezes in. The deck is HUGE, with nice furniture and a great grill. There is even a distant view of the ocean. The kitchen is very well appointed. The house is located a very short walk to the beach and this section of beach is fairly quiet as it is walk-in only. There is a long set of narrow stairs, so maybe a bit hard for little kids or anyone with limited mobility. But it is also very close is to other beaches and ponds and really all the wonderful amenities of Wellfleet and the rest of the Outer Cape. The outdoor shower was much appreciated. We would most definitely consider this house again.

The house was a great size for our extended family. It does need some upgrades. The enormous deck needs some care -we brought a hammer and reset a lot of the nails, and we were concerned about splinters on little feet. The 1st floor toilet needs to be reseated, it moves. The faucet and water knobs in the upstairs sink leak.Please be more honest about the “staircase to the beach.” The grand parents could not handle 108 steps each way. It is a dramatic scale.For the kids, the beach is beautiful and they loved it, but we all could not enjoy it.

This was our 10th summer in Wellfleet but our first being close to the beach … you are definitely paying for the location here + it is worth it. We were weary w being one of the first people to rent this space going off no reviews but felt in good hands w Del Mar from the start. They remained helpful + responsive until check out + were quick to resolve any issues we had. The bedding leaves a lot to be desired + there needs to be better ventilation options upstairs as it’s such a shame to not have access to the balconies off the bedrooms due to the standalone ACs being vented out/ no windows. There’s not a lot of closet / storage space for clothes in the rooms + no outlets in the bathrooms. The outdoor shower is great + far superior to the indoor one! The house is in a great, quiet neighborhood just steps away from the ocean so it is always a pleasure to be that near. The deck sells itself; the seating is comfy + if you have great weather you can hang there all day.
